Draft Version of Portable Wargame: English Civil War

Here is a draft version of my English Civil War adaptation of Bob Cordery's Portable Wargame . I am playing on a grid of 11x11 squares.  I welcome any comments and questions. I hope to post a battle report using the rules this week.

    1. Please give them a "try-out" and let me know what you think.
I am going to try a re-fight of Brentford tonight, and will post a battle report.

  2. Steven,

Thanks for producing this set of rules. I have read through them and it has made me realise how much more adaptable the basic BBPW rules are to other historical periods than I had originally thought.

A great piece of work! Well done!

    All the best,

    Bob

    1. Thanks, Bob,

BBPW is the most easily adaptable set of rules I have encountered, including DBA. I have already played a ripping re-fight of the Battle of Hastings, using twelve units per side, and hope to try a Romans vs. Picts game in the coming week. Half the fun is producing a proper roster for both sides without a "'points list".

Is there any interaction between pikes and shooters?
